NEW Winning the Excellence Award at the 2021 Fall College Student Academic Presentation Contest (Ping Pong Dang) and the 4th
At the College Student Design Conference (DSUS) of the Autumn Academic Conference of the Korean Design Association held on November 13, 2021, "Pingpongdang: Mobile Application to Help Self-Management of Diabetes Patients" presented by Lee Ji-young, Kim Ji-hyun, and Shin Min-sun of the Department of Industrial Design won the Excellence Award.
Pingpongdang, one of the Pink Form works before graduation this year, was developed based on surveys and interviews of diabetic patients, allowing them to keep up with records of blood sugar/wet, which were cumbersome homework, and presents solutions to share psychological support in communities overcoming diabetes.
Pingpongdang, named by combining blood sugar levels that do not know where to bounce like ping pong balls with "sugar" of diabetes, was completed through repeated UT for diabetic patients.
Student Lee Ji-young, who verbally presented at the conference, said through her thesis and presentation at the conference, "It was an opportunity to think about how to logically describe the design process of the project, and it was an experience to persuade her design by presenting it."
In addition to the Pingpongdang team, a total of 62 articles were submitted and 57 articles were published (shoe: 28, poster: 29), "Popa Bubble: Interactive Campaign Design Proposal" published by students Son Jung-im, Park Soo-jin, Kim Ye-jin, and Kim Ji-soo won the Encouragement Award.
As a result, the Department of Industrial Design has been continuing its record of winning excellence awards (including the best awards) at four consecutive college student design academic competitions since the spring 2020 competition.
